The Chetwynd Community Arts Council (CCAC) was incorporated on December 10, 1980 and the purposes were altered on October 27, 1987. In 2011, a past President of the CCAC of 31 years decided to resurrect the CCAC to preserve it as a viable resource in the Chetwynd community and increase the artistic opportunities for Chetwynd residents. The CCAC's Mission is to stimulate, broaden, encourage and facilitate the continuing development of the arts and cultural opportunities, projects and activities in the Chetwynd area. The CCAC provides artistic opportunities for the residents of Chetwynd and the surrounding areas with a strong outreach to youth and seniors increasing their participation in the community greatly.
